Our team was up early...as in at the airport at 5:15AM! Ok, so before any rumors start floating as to what REALLY happened, we had 18 check on bags...9+ of which were filled with clothes, student supplies, VBS materials, etc to use and leave here. We looked like pack mules and I am sure sent panic into the US Air counter staff when they saw us! the bags would have cost us several hundred dollars to get here, but then a minor miracle occured...for some unknown reson, 4 of us were upgraded to 1st Class on both legs and were given free luggage!!! So right off the bat we saved $190!!! Praise God!! The rumor begins when the 4 who received this blessing were on the wrong end of bitterness!!! HaHa!! Realy... It was a great blessing and everyone had great attitudes. We were late out of Columbus for de-icing and then on to Philly. The team ran frantically to our next gate just in time to board! 5+ hours later we landed in CR...beautiful as always!!
We looked like the Beverly Hillbillys with our 2 vans, 36 pieces of luggage, 9 Grimgos and 5 Ticos! Got everything organized and immediately started filling our video for New Life...hope you get to see it this weekend.
After a briefing with Rodney LaFrance, the lead missionary here, we ate a great dinner and then went to the church building for an evening of prayer and worship...God set in as 2 languages sang together lifting praises. The Holy Spirit truly ministered in several people, so we are off to a great start!! Pray hard this week!! We are dependent on it!!
Glad you all arrived safely! You know you had to travel with all that junk because Cindy would miss her office too much... thanks for the video, even if you forgot to say 'welcome' in it!
